It marks the fifth straight year that Syracuse has been ranked in the top five of the final coaches' poll. Syracuse moved up two spots from last week in the coaches' poll after a great run in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship. The Orange advanced to its first-ever ACC Championship final, suffering a 2-0 setback to Wake Forest. Syracuse defeated No. 1 North Carolina, 3-2, in overtime in the semifinals for its first win against the top-ranked team in the country since 2008. The Orange (15-5) was announced as the No. 4 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament in Sunday night's selection show. For the second consecutive season, Syracuse will host first and second round contests at J.S. Coyne Stadium. The team will play No. 17 Boston University in its first round matchup on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11:30 a.m. No. 11 Boston College and No. 6 Penn State will meet in the latter first round game at 2 p.m. The winners will meet on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the quarterfinals with a trip to the Final Four on the line.
