Interesting, 7 coaches have won more than one NC in the "modern era" -- which IMO is since the formation of the Big East.

I take the modern era to be the expansion of the field to 64 and the elimination of byes, so that all teams had to win at least 4 games to get there and at least 6 games to win. That began in 1984. In that time, only four coaches have managed to win more than once: Coach K, Calhoun, Roy Williams and Billy D

And we all know Roy doesn't really deserve two.
 
You take away Keith Smart's shot in '87 and Boeheim and Knight are tied at 2. Sometimes good luck can make a huge difference.
