Fired coach talks about how Marrone did it

Lea was brought on by Shafer last year, he never coached with Marrone.

Agree...but I think what Marrone's stated reason was code for making his staff more "diverse".

Doug better keep looking if he thinks linebacker coach was the weak spot on his staff. If Pettine gets offered Cleveland job that staff will be in a world of hurt.

Doug might need a Defensive Coordinator. Pettine interviewing for the Browns head coaching job Thursday and really he is the only guy who hasn't told them NO at this point. Now maybe after the interview he will tell them NO, but Pettine would probably jump at a head coaching job. Hell with the Jets he leaked all their info out to the reporters and was only out for himself. I don't see him turning down an NFL head coaching gig if offered.

Looks like Chuck got the Donnie Webb treatment

Cleveland Browns hiring former Bills LBs coach Chuck Driesbach

Yep, he's a terrible human being.

Pettine was effusive in thanking his former boss at his introductory press conference with the Browns.
"Looking back on my year with the Bills, it’s a bittersweet thing for me to leave there," Pettine said on Thursday. "I had such a tremendous year there with that organization, led by Ralph Wilson, Russ Brandon, Doug Whaley, and then I especially want to thank Doug Marrone. He opened my eyes to a lot of things about this league. He helped me greatly through the interview process, and I just learned so much football, and probably more importantly the non-football stuff, from Doug. He was tremendous for me."

here I come to save the day

ill stick these 2 marrone tidbits in here:

1. Jay Glazer said that if the bills didnt hire him, the browns wouldve. he was their guy and they got trumped.

2. Jim Kelly gave him a big endorsement on B & C this am.

if he doesnt work out as a HC, i can see him sticking around as an OC for a while. expecially for the young hotshot HC that needs an adult running 1 side of the ball.

So.

Pettine got a promotion and took his guys with him.

And Henderson is still on the staff.

Not sure what your point is.
Just showing what Doug's situation is

What is your point in replying in that fashion?
