First it was Obama, next it will be Joe Morris

One of the most underrated backs in NFL history imo. I can't click onto syracuse.com when someone gets a chance could you please give me a quick rundown as to why he's here?

"Henninger High School hosted a president in August. This month it will be a Super Bowl champion.

Former Syracuse University and New York Giants star Joe Morris will have breakfast with Henninger's football team at 8 a.m. next Thursday.

The visit is sponsored by the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council to promote the importance of a healthy breakfast. Henninger is being rewarded for having a "reimbursable vending" program that allows students to use their identification cards to access a bagged breakfast from a machine in the school.

Morris is expected to discuss nutrition as well as football with the students.

Morris, a record-setting running back at SU in the late '70s and early '80s who went on to win a Super Bowl with the Giants in January 1987, is the second high-profile figure to visit Henninger in the last month. On Aug. 22, President Barack Obama gave a speech in the school gym."

A very underrated NFL running back.

A unique talent.

Love Joe. He's gonna talk about nutrition? ?

Lil Joe was built like a house. I saw him at several HS games while SU was recruiting Tim Green and dude was a square block. His thighs were bigger then my waist (if this is still true he's got some really really big thighs!). He was almost as wide as he was tall and I can't remember anyone who could turn a corner like Joe while he was in college. Seemed like he was always running with the entire defense chasing him from behind.

And took the ball 35+ times a game. I got tired just watching him.

One of my all-time favorite Orangemen. Just a joy to watch, knowing he was going to break one and go the distance. His jersey should be hung in honor in the Dome. #47 forever.

Wondering if Henniger has any funds left in their coffers? BO's presence seems to make money disappear.

The deficit has been cut in half.

The stock market is up.

Unemployment is down.

GM is thriving.

Magical.

Hmmm...talking points fresh off the fax machine?

Unemployment is down ONLY because millions have dropped out of the job market or are under-employed. It's a mirage. Jobless recovery personified which will get worse as we begin to transition into Obama care.

Edit: Oh, and you forgot to mention BO's only real accomplishment...Bin Laden is dead.

Great point.

Before Obamacare my health insurance premiums were very low and never increased over the years - and my coverage was excellent!

Ooops. Wrong.

In fact, my premiums were doubling every year before Obama was nominated in 2008 and the coverage was lacking.

The stories you are hearing on Fox News are reflective of those who are attempting to justify their reduction in coverage - reducing their costs - by blaming Obamacare and it's pretty much a sham.

The Affordable Care Act is of course modeled after the Romney Massachusettes law - which was modeled after the Heritage Foundation proposal back in 1992.

As a Republican I supported the proposal because if forced people to take responsibility for their coverage - it sought to reduce emergency room medicine where the taxpayer ends up footing the bill.

This will be my final post on politics - I ask you and others to leave your feelings about Obama on the Fox News board.

I don't want to read about it here and I'm certain you don't want to read about my political views so lets just stop it now.

Morris 8 posts Obama 5 for those of you keeping score at home.

I have proposed that we stop this now.

No more Obama posts and no more responses to Obama posts.

I want to talk about SU Football.

Thank you.

I work

I work in the industry. ACA and Cadillac taxes are going to everyone.

Agreed...but like any marginally competent attorney, you propose a "truce" after emptying both barrels. Kudos.

Now we can go back to football.
