First round draft streak

As many guys who've gone in the first round, it's troublesome to me how there are so few starting players that we've sent to the NBA. Outside of Melo our guys haven't exactly been lighting it up regardless of draft position.

I think there is hope for MCW, he just needs to stop chucking, I really believe he could be a 12 APG kinda guy if he just passed more often. Waiters, love the guy and is one of my favorite all time Cuse guys and while he did solid in the playoffs, ehhhhhh, jury is still out. Most of the other guys have just been forgotten or deep down on the depth chart. Hopefully Mali can get some playing time out in Sacramento.

Dion has been lighting it up.

How would you know? Didn't you say the "NBA is a bore", "NBA is at it's worse", and I'm sure many other quick takes that really mean nothing. Dion hasn't been lighting it up, like I said in the post you quoted which I'm sure you didn't read, he played well in the playoffs but he's been a very meh player. Look at the numbers.

It can be, but I always keep tabs on cuse guys.

Well judging by your past quotes I find it hard to believe you know enough about the subject to make an educated statement saying "Dion's been lighting it up", because that doesn't match up with what he's actually done.

I wonder about some of the injuries MCW and Ennis have had. Lot's of shoulder issues, but I read recently that the Bucks still value MCW for the long term so that is good news. I just wonder if his shoulder will ever be healthy enough where he can be a respectable shooter.

When MCW was here I was under the impression that "he's shooting this much because nobody else can". I guess that was kinda correct, I figured the NBA spacing would open him up to drive and dish more and there would be capable shooters around him to rack up some awesome PG numbers. Well, kinda worked in Philly but he was shooting the ball a ridiculous amount of times.

If he can become a pass first point guard I think he could have historic seasons at the position because of his vision and size, unfortunately he's just programmed to be the player he is and while he may adjust a bit, it's going to be difficult to get to the level I think he's capable of.

All that said, he'll be in the league for a long time and have a 10 year plus career.

What's he been lighting up?

This should be a topic on it's own with photo responses.

"What's Dion been lighting up?"

He had a very good postseason.

MCW has been more productive in every statistical measurement outside of 3pt shooting compared to Dion.

Apparently the Sixers are interested in him though. He'll get plenty of chances to shoot all he wants there.

Relatively speaking. Loved Dion his one real year at 'Cuse, was geeked about his good luck when LeBron returned to Cleveland and dropped Dion's name into his returning-home piece in SI, but he had a "very good postseason" in relation how meh at best he'd been thus far in a career that began four years ago when he was drafted No, 4 -- ahead of Damian Lillard, ahead of Harrison Barnes, ahead of Andre Drummond, ahead of Jae Crowder, ahead of Fab Melo, way ahead of Draymond freakin' Green.

12 APG seasons are pretty rare. That's Magic Johnson, John Stockton territory. I could see 7-8 apg from MCW.

Wes Johnson has actually started more often than he's come off the bench in his career. Even this past year, he still played 20 mpg for the Clippers.

Wouldn't be surprised if McCullough ends up starting for the Nets for much of the year...that team is bad.
