The play in the Western conference particularly sets up for a playoff for the ages. So much great young talent in the league and the relevant league teams have figured out the way to play is run and gun, share the ball, and limit the iso crap. Sooo much more entertaining than in previous iterations of the league.

This is occurring just as college bball is in an all time funk with regards to quality and style of play as well as Syracuse being an uninspiring team this year.

Those of you who have not been to keen on the NBA I implore you to check out some western conference games and actually watch them...dont just watch the stupid highlights on espn. Please ignore the Knicks. I was a hater like you guys before. Im converted. These guys are playing real basketball and man are they talented.

I just can't do it. And there was a time in the 90s I really did enjoy the NBA but I have not watched for the last 15+ years. Too your point Golden State seems kinda fun to watch the few times I've stumbled upon them flipping through the channels.

I tend to watch more hockey (always in during the cup playoffs)...
But quite honestly nothing compensates for my lack of interest in college hoops this year. Syracuse predicament has left me disgusted. I'll still watch my fair portion of tournament games but it's not the same. I feel no enthusiasm for the tournament and that sucks. For me this dark cloud over the Orange also covers the entire sport.

Yeah, I still (mostly) enjoy watching Syracuse games, but I rarely watch random college hoops games now and find myself pretty regularly popping on NBA games.

I can't understand people who claim to love the sport of basketball but yet tell me the league with the best basketball players on earth is unwatchable. It's ironic.

To each his/her own, but man..
I kind of get it, because I much prefer college football to the NFL. The difference is, I can recognize the beauty in professional football, I just like the style variety in college. For hoops though, the NBA is really aesthetic, and the college game is just ugly. I guess I'd say that the NFL and college football both play the game differently, but in a way that adheres to the intent of the game, whereas college hoops has learned that it pays to bastardize the sport.

The next nba game i watch this season will be my first.

There's a difference between preferring college/professional to the other and then saying the level with the best of the best "sucks".
