South Carolina's Staley wins 2nd AP coach award

Dawn Staley was honored as the Associated Press women's college basketball Coach of the Year for the second time as she again leads an undefeated South Carolina team into the Final Four.

Lindsay Gottlieb of USC, Felisha Legette-Jack of Syracuse and Scott Rueck of Oregon State tied for second with two votes each. Voting was done before the NCAA tournament.

I understand that Staley went undefeated but with the talent on her team I am not sure I would have voted her coach of the year.
A coach that does more with less and exceeds expectations, seems to me the better coach. Coach Jack.
Still surprised some players entered the portal and wanted to leave coach Jack. When you hear from the players she really cares for them and they develop as a person and a player.
I guess players have to learn the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Must say, ADJW’s hiring of HCFJL and HCFB are home runs out of the box.
I think HCRA did a great job this year, better than JB would have done, and HS recruiting is up.
HCGH seems to be getting SU Lax back to top 10 status.
HCKT has women’s lacrosse rolling as well.
