While I respect the HC for taking a stand to defend the core values of the university such a stance rings hollow if the football program is already on a break as are most programs across the country.

The SU program is currently taking a break between the summer conditioning program and the start of fall camp during the first week in August.

How grand a gesture is this if he didn’t also suspend the pay for the assistant coaches and himself during the suspension?

Either way, I appreciate the coach trying to take advantage of a teaching moment like this to teach the young men in his program a thing or two about values and responsibility.

It's an absolute obscenity of a song, and honestly I feel guilty even referring to it as music. Indeed, I felt compelled to listen to it just to see what the fuss was all about. I pray that this was just a one-off for that "performer" and that he has no discernable following. It's truly a POS example of the worst of modern rap. (End- old man, "these kids today"- rant)!

Wow, really? The dude didn't know, and when he found out, he took extreme but appropriate measures. He didn't try to hide it, he addressed it, as he should do.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood, I thought you were being sarcastic. Don’t agree with you here, this doesn’t rise close to the level of something to get him fired. He isn’t messing around with these kids after this, probably to the extreme.
