There have been a fair number of worried posters after the first two games, and I do understand that we have weaknesses. But attending these first two games in person, you can't help but feel the enjoyment and confidence this group feels playing together, and it actually feels like we have depth which I wasn't expecting. Even though mistakes were made (some of them funny, like DaJuan throwing the ball into the stands), there wasn't anything to cause alarm bells to wildly clang. Last year there was a real feeling of strain in the team that I don't see this year. Yes, I know, it may come. As my mother liked to say, "Some day, but not today."

Gary and I thought Trevor was hurt, so I was interested in  your comment about his hand. Hope it's nothing much. I also felt irritated by how FS was dangerously fouling our guys. Come on, it's an exhibition! It's one thing to be feisty, it's another to be reckless. (Perhaps our guys were doing the same thing but I didn't see it.) As I said to Gary, "Why can't Florida just take their beating like gentlemen?"

Since my brother-in-law was visiting, the Louisville game was way in a corner of my consciousness. I am sad that we lost, and I haven't even visited the football side yet. Maybe I won't. Are you going to the football game this Saturday? Gary and I will be there. Come by to talk!
