There is talk of Locksley getting fired at UMD and Nixon moving on. My recollection is that Locksley is an excellent OC and a great recruiter.
Would he fit in with FB and the culture he wants to establish at SU? Would he be a good candidate to replace Nixon

I’ve always thought Locksley was a great recruiter. I thought that would make him a good head coach but he hasn’t made it work at New Mexico nor MD.

Maryland finished 2024 68th in the FBS in total offense. Syracuse was 11th.

He is 16-40 coaching B1G games.

I think there are a lot better candidates out there. But hopefully we keep Coach Nixon where he belongs.

The only job I’m worried about Nixon taking - if it comes open- is the PSU OC job. Their OC is rumored to be up for a few HC jobs.
