I had a bad feeling when Nova had guys running free all game long and we couldn't touch their QB. I had an even worse feeing after last week seeing that there is no plan B to the kamikaze blitz and when it didn't work CMU had open receivers running all over the place. My fears were truly realized when we couldn't get pressure on MD despite blitzing and there were receivers running free all day.

The raw talent seems to be there but it is not developed. Is there any explanation for this beyond truly terrible coaching?

Huh?

UMd is a good offensive team. After the 1st quarter they gave up a FG and a short field TD and short field FG. UMd was 4 of 14 on third, less than 100 yds rushing, three sacks.

You think that's a terrible?

Brown missed two wide-open touchdowns- one in each half. SU had to blitz to get any pressure and that led to big plays. UMD is an average offense with two very good WR's.

Not terrible, but it wasn't as though SU's defense made any plays which changed momentum either.

we dropped 2 Int's , one a great play by the WR. if you dont attack these teams they will kill you. I supposed the Mary DC is saying "wow we played great cause they only got 590 yds"
