I didn't realize SU had that many players on the team, that Boeheim guy really doesn't play the bench at all.

Nice job kids...keep it up!

APR has little to do with graduation. It only measures retention and eligibility, which is one of its many flaws. Numbers are increasing because the schools with resources understand better how the system works and how you can increase numbers (former players graduating, etc)

Can you be anymore passive aggressive with your title. Do you know for a fact if Mookie Watkins, Terrence Roberts, Demetrius Nichols, Andy Rautins, Eric Devendorf, Rick Jackson, Arinze Onuaku, Kris Joseph, Brandon Triche, James Southerland, C.J Fair all graduated in the last 6 years? Cto has confirmed Scoop Jardine graduated and Baye Keita and Rak Christmas graduated.

However you start a thread intended to dig at my post which I acknowledged I was wrong in and yet expect to have a discourse. The APR doesn't say anything about graduating players its called the Academic Progress Report meaning are your players on the track to academically to graduate. The system is easily gamed I wonder if all the players I posted above actually graduated even though all of them were on the Hill for 4 years had numerous summers to take free classes, had tutors, and used up their NCAA eligibility. I highly doubt all of them graduated so I guess I don't understand your point.

Question regarding APR for any experts, if you have a player like Rak who has graduated prior to his final year is there any change in the way he is viewed by the NCAA during the post-graduate year? What if he drops out half way though because he doesn't like the program, or he only takes a few classes, or his grades are poor, etc is he still in good academic standing? And does it count toward the year? Thanks in advance

Janner-From what I understand, Rak would need to meet good academic standing measures next year or else it will cost SU points. He has to be enrolled all year to be eligible to play, but I think grad students can take fewer classes to be full-time (that's how it works for regular students).

The Post Standard has actually done articles the last few years that have specified a few guys have graduated. These are just a few that I could quickly find. But I'm almost positive I have read articles about Brandon, Arinze, Rick and Andy

I am a hater because I ask questions? Wow you either everyone talks like echo chamber or your a hater? By the way check your sources on atleast 1 of the guys you said yes about is incorrect for a fact. That also leaves a couple of guys you didn't acknowledge as well.
My point remains valid while JB has done a great job the fact that EVERY player who has stayed at SU for 4 years and didn't graduate is sad IMO.

Seems like the academic situation is much better than it used to be. Why all the fuss.
