As the men's basketball team secured a 10 seed in the NCAA tournament, fans are hopeful they'll make the most of it. After the call came in at 12:03 a.m., Onondaga County Air-1 helicopter provided lighting on the river as rescue divers from Liverpool Fire Department went into the water. Area fire departments also launched boats to try to get to the woman. The divers quickly reached the woman and the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps rushed her to a Syracuse hospital, said Seneca River Assistant Fire Chief Chris Snow. The woman was in stable condition, he said. "It was a tremendous effort between all the agencies," Snow said. "Good communication led to a quick and safe rescue."
