Welcome to World Crohn's and Colitis Day!
The first annual World Crohn's and Colitis Day (WCCD) was celebrated on May 23, 2007.[1] The event was created by Josh Golder and recognized by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, as well as by people from around the world. Josh is a prominent figure and activist in the Crohn's and Colitis community (who himself has Crohn's disease), who directed and produced the internationally known, community-wide movie, "True Guts: Struggle and Triumph over Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis" (which is more commonly known as "True Guts"). Josh created WCCD as a way to bring people affected by either disease together, as well as friends and family members of those individuals, and even those who knew nothing about either disease in order to increase awareness of them.

Last night, Syracuse basketball Twitter went into a frenzy when the relatively unknown (at least in the U.S.) account @Eurohopes tweeted this out:
2017 forward Marek Dolezaj ('98) from Slovakia has committed to Syracuse. Only school he visited
— Eurohopes (@Eurohopes) May 21, 2017
Any news of a potential commit is, of course, huge for the Orange. Syracuse’s 2017 class is lacking, especially after the SU lost high-caliber recruits Quade Green and Jordan Tucker to blue-blood schools. At first, Orange Nation didn’t know if it could trust this source, but this morning we learned that the 6-9 forward will all but certainly be in orange in the winter.
@jordville There's about 99% chance that you will see him wearing orange next year, so yes. We talked couple hours ago.

6-foot-9 Slovakian @MarekDolezaj is 'likely' to commit to Syracuse, source tells ZAGSBLOG.

Marek Dolezaj has committed to Syracuse, a source told TNIAAM. He confirmed the news with an Instagram post. 6-9 forward from Slovakia.

The news didn’t necessarily come as a surprise to Cameron Johnson, a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, but nonetheless, he had been hoping for a different outcome. He had been hoping he could play college basketball next season wherever he chose – perhaps even at North Carolina.
Johnson, a 6-foot-7 guard who averaged 11.9 points last season for the Panthers, said during a phone interview on Monday that he has “high interest” in transferring to UNC. He likes the way the Tar Heels play, and the interest is mutual: UNC coach Roy Williams likes Johnson, who scored 24 points against the Tar Heels during UNC’s 80-78 home victory against Pitt on Jan. 31.
“If certain things work out, maybe that would be the place to go,” said Johnson, who is considering four other schools. “I wouldn’t want to sit out a year, but my interest level in UNC is high.”
There, though, is Johnson’s conundrum: He could play immediately at some of the schools he is considering. At UNC, he could not. At least that’s how it looks for now, with Pittsburgh limiting Johnson’s options and making it more difficult for him to transfer to a fellow ACC school.
Ask Johnson for his reaction to his situation – the fact that, as it stands now, he’d have to sit out for a season if he were to transfer to UNC – and he might release a long, pronounced sigh. He did so during the phone interview on Monday, and in some ways that said it all.

America's favorite grocery store is coming to the nation's capital.
According to NBC Washington, Wegmans will take over the Fannie Mae headquarters in the Tenleytown neighborhood of northwest Washington. Fannie Mae is leaving for a new location.
Wegmans and the site's new owner announced the deal Sunday night as the International Council of Shopping Centers' annual Recon meeting kicked off, the Washington Business Journal says.
The D.C. Wegmans will be much smaller than the chain's usual suburban footprint, and will likely be 80,000 square feet. The new Wegmans will not have dedicated parking, but instead share more than 800 spaces planned for the site.
Wegmans plans to have a standalone restaurant above the store, the WBJ says.
Work will not begin on the D.C. Wegmans until Fannie Mae completes its move to its new headquarters at the former Washington Post site in late 2018.
