Analyzing the Potential Impact of SU's 2015 Recruits (PS; Waters)
Syracuse University currently has four commitments from high school recruits in the 2015 class.
So when Jeff Borzello of CBSSports.com decided to look at the top 20 rated committed players from that class and examine their potential impact on the college level,Syracuse got mentioned quite a bit.
Three of Syracuse's four commitments are among Borzello's group of the top 20 rated committed players. Borzello used 247Sports composite rankings of the 2015 class for his story.
(It's important to note that only one Top 10 player in the '15 class has committed and only five Top 25 players have made their college choice.)

Kyrie Irving Shows Mike Hopkins His Practice Secrets (PS; Ditota)
Syracuse basketball assistant Mike Hopkins accompanied his boss, Jim Boeheim, this summer as the two Orange coaches help prepare the United States men's national team for the FIBA World Cup in Spain.
Both are assisting Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski; the team trains now in Las Vegas and later this month will work out at West Point and play exhibition games in New York City.
In this USA Basketball-produced video, Hopkins talks to Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving about his practice routine.

Veronica Filibert Finishes Brilliantly to Win the 2014 Credit Union Classic Presented by Wegmans' at Drumlins East Country Club (symetratour.com)
Veronica Felibert shot a 6-under 65 on Sunday to earn her first career Symetra Tour victory at the Credit Union Classic presented by Wegmans. Felibert birdied three of her final four holes to seize control and win by three strokes over Lindy Duncan.
“Oh my god, I’m very, very happy,” said 29-year-old Felibert. “I’ve been working very hard and it is finally clicking so I am very, very excited.”
Felibert made birdie on the 15th hole to take a one shot lead over Garrett Phillips, who was one group in front. Felibert made par on the 16th hole while Phillips made birdie to momentarily move into a share of the lead. Then, Felibert made a long birdie putt on the 17th hole to take a one shot lead.
Phillips made double bogey on the 18th hole to give Felibert breathing room. Felibert calmly stuck a stock 9-iron to three feet and tapped in for birdie to win on 18.
Donald Trump Says He Made an All Cash $1 Billion Bid to Buy the Bills (PS; Fairburn)
Donald Trump is prepared to move quickly on the Bills sale if he wins in the bidding process.
During the Hall of Fame Game between the Bills and Giants on Sunday Night Football, NBC's Al Michaels said he spoke with Trump about his recent bid on the team and got some of the details.
"(Trump) said he offered a billion dollars, all cash, no contingencies, immediate closing, he’d have the check in one hour the other day," Michael said on the broadcast.

Nearly 1,100 women completed the Iron Girl Syracuse held Sunday at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton.
The race included a 600-meter swim, a 30K bike ride and a 5K run.
The top five competitors were:
1. Lindsay Sullivan, 41, Cicero, NY: 1:28:23
2. Kathleen Rainbow, 43, Oneida, NY: 1:29:07
3. Monica Bays, 34, Rochester, NY: 1:29:11
4. Kerzia's Marchant, 25, Liverpool, NY: 1:30:21
5. Heather Nelson, 24, Syracuse, NY: 1:30:21
