At the start of every college basketball season, teams face certain questions.
The fewer the questions, the better a team's chances of success. The teams that can come up with answers to their questions will also meet with success.
The Syracuse Orange must find the answers to several major questions if it hopes to continue the recent string of success under Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim. Over the past five years, Syracuse has averaged just under 30 wins per season.
But Syracuse lost several key contributors off last year's team that went 28-6 after getting off to a school record 25-0 start. Gone is leading scorer C.J. Fair. Freshman guard Tyler Ennis and sophomore forward Jerami Grant ended their college careers early to enter the NBA draft. Baye Moussa Keita, the reliable reserve center, is also gone.

There are several questions surrounding this year's Orange team that will determine how far the team goes. If the freshmen adjust quickly, the team has the potential to make some noise in the ACC. Let's take a look at a few of the factors that will make or break the Orange this season.
The Offense
This is where it will all start and end for the Orange. If they can muster more than, say, 65 points, they will give themselves a good chance to win. They averaged 68 a game last year, but in their losses they were putting up numbers like 59, 56 and 53.
