Syracuse vs Wake Forest GIF Highlights (bloggersodear.com; Bridgesd)
This game made me so happy, encouraged, and excited about the fact that this Wake Forest team could play a tough team on the road and compete, while also seemingly crushing all my hopes and dreams in the fact that it was another close game that the Deacs could have won, but didn't. This game was an emotional roller coaster.
The plan of attack in this one was obviously to beat the zone of Syracuse to get open looks. And one of the best ways to beat the zone is to have a guy that goes unconscious and can't miss. Enter Dinos Mitoglou.

Syracuse Wake Forest Game: Each Starter's Most Impressive Stat (BR; Neuman!)
Despite losing freshman Chris McCullough for the season, the Syracuse basketball team was able to get past Wake Forest in overtime Tuesday night. The Orange are off to a 4-0 start in conference play and sit tied atop the ACC standings with second-ranked Virginia.
The Orange may have a few more losses than fans are used to at this point in the season, but they have been striking when you consider how much the team lost last year.
Jim Boeheim's rotation is again short, and the starters have been the main contributors so far this season. With that in mind, let's look at each starter's most impressive stat. With McCullough out, Tyler Roberson stepped into the starting lineup, so we will look at him along with the rest of the Orange starters.

Student Wants Equal Attendance at Women's Sporting Events (campusform.org; Morrongiello)
Men and women’s college sporting events should have an equal turnout of fans, according to one student at Syracuse University.
In a recent column for The Daily Orange, SU junior Julia Smith, nicknamed “The Sassy Feminist,” encouraged her peers to “strive for equality in supporting college athletes regardless of gender.”
"Student athletes put in the same amount of time and dedication to perform on the court; it is only fair as a student body and fan base we cheer them on equally."
According to Smith, the Syracuse men’s basketball team drew an average crowd of 20,809 people to their past nine home games while the women’s team has seen an average attendance of 596 people.
“The numbers say it all—women are less supported by fans in athletics than men,” wrote Smith, adding that “tudent athletes put in the same amount of time and dedication to perform on the court; it is only fair as a student body and fan base we cheer them on equally.”
To eliminate the size differential between male and female athletes’ fan bases, Smith says society must amend its idea “of what makes an athlete” to ensure the inclusion of women.
