By tremendous changes, Boeheim said he was simply referring to the loss of potential All-American Rakeem Christmas and the likely addition of six scholarship players from the end of this year's healthy roster.

Syracuse brings in four freshmen who make up one of the country's top recruiting classes and also returns two potential starters returning from injury.
 
"Really there was nothing specific, no 'I know this is going to happen' type of thing," Boeheim said. "Obviously when you lose a Rakeem Christmas that's a huge change. When you also have four new players coming in (and) we're hopeful that our two injured guys are coming back and being healthy. That's six guys that really didn't factor this year that are going to be on your team. That's a huge difference.[/I]
