Matchups for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge were announced Wednesday, and the Badgers will play Syracuse at the Carrier Dome on Dec. 2. Times and television information will be released at a later date. It’s one of three games in the state of New York for the Badgers during the nonconference portion of their schedule. UW will also play in the 2K Classic at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 20 and 22, a four-team event that also includes defending NCAA champion Duke, Georgetown and Virginia Commonwealth. UW also will play at Oklahoma, which could start the season ranked among the top 10 teams in the nation, as part of a home-and-home series that will include a return game in Madison in 2016. CBSSports.com has reported that the Badgers and Sooners will play in Norman on Nov. 29, three days before UW’s game at Syracuse. ... Tyler Lydon, a member of Syracuse's 2015 recruiting class, could blow the roof off the Carrier Dome with a dunk he performed recently in which he makes a 3-pointer, catches the ball as it goes through the net and then dunks in one motion. The ball never touches the court from the time it leaves his hand on the 3-point attempt until he flushes it through the rim on the dunk. Lydon tweeted out a short video of the trey-dunk. Lydon is a 6-foot-9 forward at New Hampton (N.H.) Prep. He is one of four players in Syracuse's incoming freshmen class. JetBlue executives came up with an interesting way to do that. J.D. Power ranked JetBlue as "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Low Cost Carriers in North America" for the 11th year in a row. So JetBlue treated its customers named J.D. Power to a free flight and included the J.D.'s in a commercial. Among the J.D. Powers was James Powers of Syracuse. Powers is a former manager for the Syracuse University basketball team. He graduated from SU in 2006. He now works at the university as the help desk manager at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families. Powers and his wife, Ashlee, live in Syracuse. In the video, Powers can be seen carrying a small dog onto the plane. (Powers signed an agreement with the airline which prohibits him from revealing details about the flight or the video.) ... But when she exited the plane, Rochester looked more tropical than she recalled. Azizgul Hussainzada asked for boarding assistance when she was flying out of Oakland because she doesn't speak English, CBS New York reports. But instead of guiding her on to the correct plane, "they boarded her on the wrong flight," her son, Noorullah Maqsoodi, says. "And she had no idea where she ended up." Thrillist says Hussainzada was supposed to take a JetBlue flight from California's Oakland International Airport to Rochester, with a connection at New York's JFK Airport. Hussainzada ended up on the Caribbean island and did so without a boarding pass or passport. "When she got off in Barbados, she thought that she was in Rochester," Maqsoodi tells CBS New York. "And she was like, what happened to Rochester? This looks a lot different." The situation, that would be considered a dream in some Upstate New Yorkers' minds, quickly turned into a nightmare because Hussainzada is diabetic and didn't have her medication, CBS New York says. The family tried to get answers from JetBlue, but the airline insisted Hussainzada was in JFK waiting for her next flight. Only one problem: She was really in Barbados. After realizing their mistake, JetBlue flew Hussainzada back to Rochester and refunded her ticket, Thrillist says. JetBlue also plans to review its boarding protocol.
