So?  Why is it a surprise that the university does not give out personal medical information about a student?

Makes no sense. AJ was a starter.  If rules are broken for important players, AJ would be on the team.

I think it is clear that the one doctor makes the final call.  It appears that he his not influenced by coaches or fans.  Whether he is good at making the decision is a matter of opinion.
