Welcome to Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day!

Today is Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day! What country music song always puts a smile on your face? Perhaps it’s Johnny Cash's "Every Time I Itch I Wind Up Scratching You," Kenny Chesney's "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy," or Homer & Jethro's "She Made Toothpicks Out Of The Timber Of My Heart." Today is the day to pay tribute to these unique songs!

Country music evolved from Appalachian folk music in the 1920s and became a nationwide sensation in the 1940s. The Grand Ole Opry radio station in Nashville, Tennessee began broadcasting weekly concerts that showcased all the different genres of country music—hillbilly, honky-tonk, bluegrass, western, rockabilly, gospel, and more.

In honor of today’s Reason to Celebrate, put on your cowboy hat, get out your banjo, and belt out your favorite quirky country music song!

Syracuse Football: Orange Add Grad Transfer Jordan Martin to Defensive Backfield (itlh.com; Carey)

The Syracuse football team added some experience to their secondary. Here’s some more information on SU football recruit Jordan Martin.

The Syracuse football team picked up a nice grad transfer last week in cornerback Jordan Martin. Martin, a DB from Toledo has seen Dino Babers offense first hand when Babers was terrorizing the MAC Conference at Bowling Green.

The 6-foot-3 inch 205-pound Martin provides great size in the Syracuse backfield. Martin has tremendous size for a corner and his height will be useful when the Orange go up against some of the bigger wide receivers in the ACC.

Martin tore his ACL in his junior year but still experienced some success with the Rockets. He accumulated a total of 74 tackles, 4.5 for loss, 11 pass deflections, one pick, and two forced fumbles. According to Syracuse.com’s, Stephen Bailey, Martin spurned the likes of West Virginia, Maryland, Pittsburgh, among others.

Martin joins Devin Butler, another graduate transfer from Notre Dame. Cordell Hudson, Juwan Dowels, Christian Fredrick, among others as guys who should compete for playing time at corner.

Let’s check out the highlights:

Jimbo Fisher says new football facility in the works for Florida State (espn.com; Adelson)

Coach Jimbo Fisher has worked tirelessly to get facility upgrades at Florida State during his time as head coach, from building an indoor facility to getting facelifts for the locker room and coaches offices to improving and expanding Doak Campbell Stadium.

Up next?

A standalone football facility.

Fisher said Friday that plans to build one are now in the works, and he hopes to have plans to show boosters when his spring speaking tour begins next month.

"We need room. We need meeting space, player development areas. You’ve got to have those areas and also to show off your history. That’s what Florida State is known for, being a great football program," Fisher said. "You can never stand still. If you’re not evolving and moving, people are going to bypass you. You’ve got to keep going. The great programs never settle. We’re always looking for that edge. It’s going to help recruiting. It’s going to help player development. We get a lot of guys that are three-and-out, so we’ve got to have space for them to get them developed as quickly as we can so we can get production out of them."

Fisher said an architect has already come by to start looking at drawing up plans. No set space has been set aside for building the facility. Fisher would prefer it to connect to the indoor facility, just steps away from the football stadium.

Owner of 'Ice house' on Lake Ontario: Worried about damage, but 'gosh, it's pretty' (PS; Axelson)

The owner of the "ice house" on Lake Ontario has finally been tracked down, and she seems to find the whole thing very amusing.

The Webster, NY, home went viral earlier this month after photographer John Kucko shared pictures and video of the home completely encased in a thick coat of ice.

The perils of owning lakefront property in Upstate NY.

Kucko caught up with Betty Perkins-Carpenter, 86, who owns the cottage, and asked her what she thought about the state of her home.

"Gosh, it's pretty," said a chuckling Perkins-Carpenter.

Kucko shared his video interview with the Korean War veteran and Olympic Diving coach on Facebook. Take a look.
