Cyber Monday takes place on the Monday after Thanksgiving, and is the largest online shopping day of the year in the United States. The term was coined by Ellen Davis of the National Retail Federation, while working with Scott Silverman and others, at Shop.org. In 2005, shortly before Thanksgiving, Shop.org put out a press release highlighting the growing amount of sales that took place on the day. Research from 2004 had shown that the day was the 12th largest online shopping day of the year. After the term made its debut, it has been used as a marketing tool by retailers, and the public has embraced the day.

That’s a similar grade I gave Etta-Tawo last year when he finished the season. But there’s a few stark differences that I think look upon Ishmael with favor.
First off Ishmael isn’t a ‘one-year wonder’. He may not have put up video game numbers every year of his Orange career, but he did in his final campaign.

Fifteen seniors played their final game at the Carrier Dome on Saturday.
Members of the senior class include: Clay Austin, Sean Avant, Parris Bennett, Devin M. Butler, Zaire Franklin, Alex Grossman, Nathan Hines, Steve Ishmael, Zach Mahoney, Jordan Martin, Jamar McGloster, Cole Murphy, Ervin Philips, Jonathan Thomas and Austin Valdez.
After Syracuse coach Dino Babers addressed the team in the locker room, he asked the seniors to take one last lap around the Carrier Dome to relive their past few years of memories. It is a new tradition that Babers has started.

November is a month that Syracuse fans would like to forget. The Orange has now lost 15 of its last 16 games in November. Not to mention, they will be sitting home during the holiday season for the fourth straight year, as they once again are not bowl eligible.

To say that Syracuse had a roller coaster of a season would be an understatement. Sure, there was not a step forward in the record department from last season, but the on-field product, when healthy, was far better than a 4-8 finish might indicate. Here were the best and worst of the 2017 Orange.
Three Up:
Clemson
This isn’t just a top three moment of the 2017 season or the Dino Babers era, but this is a top three moment in Syracuse football history. This was the most complete game that the Orange played in a long time. Right from the get-go, SU scored on its opening possession and played consistently good from every drive after that. This was the win that put Syracuse on the map, and even had people picking the Orange the next week against another top-10 team in Miami. However, the momentum halted right there in the Carrier Dome. SU did not win a game for the remainder of the season.
LSU
This was a game that made people start to think a bowl was attainable. Sure it ended in a loss, but Syracuse showed it could hang with top-tier teams. You could argue that SU was the better team in this game. But at the end of the day, the Orange allowed a few too many big plays, as it was prone to doing all season long, to giveaway a potential big win.

Burns wonders where Ward will end up playing his college football. He has drawn interest, but does not have a firm offer yet.
"He is so good," Burns said of Ward. "If someone doesn't offer this kid a scholarship, they have got to be out of their minds. If Dino Babers (Syracuse's head coach) is sitting in the stands, watches this kid and doesn't want to offer him, I don't get it. ... Jordan Canzeri was a very good running back. I don't know if he was as good in high school as this kid. Down the stretch, (Lancaster) knew he was going to get it — what did he have, 38 carries? He is just a phenomenal football player."

After Alabama loss, Clemson rises to top of AP Top 25 college football poll (PS; AP)
Clemson is the new No. 1 in The Associated Press college football poll, taking a close vote with Oklahoma after the top two teams in the rankings lost in the same weekend for the first time since 2012.
The Tigers jumped from fourth to No. 1 after blowing out South Carolina on Saturday night. Clemson received 27 first-place votes and No. 2 Oklahoma had 24. No. 3 Wisconsin received 10 first-place votes.
Auburn rose to No. 4 after beating Alabama, which had been No. 1 since the preseason. The Crimson Tide slipped to fifth. Georgia moved up a spot to No. 6 and Miami fell five spots to No. 7. The Hurricanes lost for the first time this season on Friday at Pittsburgh.
The last time the top two teams in the AP poll lost on the same regular-season weekend was Nov. 17, 2012. Then, No. 1 Oregon lost to No. 14 Stanford and No. 2 Kansas State went down to Baylor.
Ohio State, Penn State and TCU round out the top 10.

Minivan moved off light post after Erie Boulevard crash in Syracuse
Syracuse minivan driver crashes into signs, lands on traffic light on Erie Boulevard (video) (PS; O'Toole)
A Syracuse man was taken to a local hospital Sunday night after he drove off Erie Boulevard East, and crashed his minivan into two street signs and a traffic light pole that fell to the ground, authorities said.
Anicel Habogorimana, 54, told officers his vision became blurred as he drove west on Erie Boulevard East and went off the road and into the grass, city police Sgt. David Sackett said.
Someone called the Onondaga County 911 Center at 6:13 p.m. to report the crash.
When emergency crews arrived, they found tire tracks from the westbound lanes of Erie Boulevard East, up a grassy median, then back down into the turnaround across from Sam's Club.
"Do Not Enter" and "One Way" signs rested on the grass near the tire tracks.
Habogorimana's Toyota Sienna minivan sat on top of the toppled traffic light pole.
