Buffalo's best wings: And the winners are... (newyorkupstate.com; Healy)
As the first Best of Upstate New York search of 2018, we ventured to the homeland of the hot wing. For Buffalo's best wings, we visited the five finalists in two days.
We began our search on Jan. 15 and asked for nominations. We then held a semifinalist poll of the most-nominated eateries, which determined our five finalists. We put the wing spots that received the most votes in a final poll.
The judges were Matthew Fairburn, Buffalo Bills reporter for NYup.com, and Allie Healy, Best Of and Nostalgia team lead for syracuse.com and NYup.com. Mike Rodak, Buffalo Bills reporter and analyst for ESPN, also helped us out.
