Welcome to Cinco de Marcho!

Cinco de Marcho marks the beginning of the season to train the liver for St. Patrick's Day, a holiday known for drinking that is just 12 days away. Cinco de Marcho is a drinking day for those who don't often drink, and want to be prepared to drink on the upcoming holiday. In 2007, the creators of the holiday, who go by the names Lady O' Le and Carlos Fantastico, heard a friend was coming to visit during St. Patrick's Day. Although not teetotalers, they rarely drank and knew they had to prepare themselves for the drinking that was to come. They started their liver training by drinking a margarita at a Mexican restaurant on March 5. They thought it was fitting that it was the 5th of the month, just like Cinco de Mayo, and that they were drinking a green drink—the color associated with St. Patrick's Day. Cinco de Marcho is not just a day, but a 12 day season leading up to St. Patrick's Day, with the closing ceremony on that holiday. Besides the opening festivities of drinking margaritas, parties can be held at any time during the season.

FSU Football: Is 2018 Clemson game most important in ACC again? (chopchat.com; Parker)

FSU football and the Clemson Tigers have been the gold standard in the ACC for nearly a decade – will that continue this coming season?

When the record books are written about the greatest era of football in the ACC, the last nine seasons are going to be one of the first chapters – complete with plenty of coverage of FSU football and their growing rivalry with the only team that has been able to hang with (and sometimes, dethrone the Seminoles) over that span.

The Noles and the Clemson Tigers have been the two teams that have basically run the conference over that span. The winner of the game has gone on to not just win the Atlantic Division each of those nine seasons, but has won the conference each of the last seven to go along with making the College Football Playoff each of the four seasons it has been in existence.

That, of course goes along with winning two of the last five national titles and the men in orange playing for another. Needless to say, the game of the year in in the conference has involved FSU football and a team in orange not named the Miami Hurricanes.

Another winter storm could hit this week; Upstate NY impacts uncertain (PS; Coin)

Just days after a deadly winter storm caused flooding in New England and dumped 40 inches of snow on Upstate New York, forecasters are predicting another storm mid-week.

The strength of the storm and its impacts are still uncertain, except that they will likely be strongest closer to the East Coast. In Upstate New York, the biggest impacts are expected to be in the eastern half of the state, while Western New York is likely to get only "minor accumulations" of snow.

Here's a look at the broader thinking of the storm by the National Weather Service, and then a breakdown of the possible effects by Upstate region.

Big picture: Much like last week, a pair of low pressure systems will track toward the Northeast: one across the Great Lakes and another up the East Coast.

"This is expected to become a nor'easter for New England by Wednesday night and into Thursday morning," according to the national Weather Prediction Center. "Strong onshore flow north of the low will increase the threat of coastal flooding for the Northeast coast, and moderate to heavy snow is becoming more likely for interior portions of New York and New England, with blizzard conditions possible at times."
