It is celebrated differently in Western and Eastern churches, and there are various customs around the world. The word "epiphany" comes from a Greek word meaning "to appear." Epiphany may have originated in the eastern half of the Roman Empire as a feast to honor Jesus' baptism, and then expanded to include a celebration of his birth, the visit of the Magi, and the events of Jesus' childhood. The day began being celebrated in the latter half of the fourth century. That leads me to believe that there are plans to play at least 2 and possibly 3 conference games to start the 2020 season. Georgia Tech plays both Clemson and Syracuse, so either of those could be the week one pairing. The other teams are all Atlantic division teams, so they all play each other at some point. The uncertainty over the number comes from the fact that there are uneven numbers. To avoid a bye in week one, someone will need to move an OOC game to... OK, so not a good time to be a dynasty in the sports world. Take note, Clemson. Keeping things closer to home, we are coming off a pretty incredible decade for sports in Syracuse and Central New York. Here are 20 things I’m wondering about for the decade ahead. Answer along as we go. We can compare notes at the bottom of the column in my answer key. 1. Will Syracuse University add more sports to its roster? 2. Will Syracuse University finally retire a women’s jersey/number at the Carrier Dome? 3. How much will it cost to ride the roller coaster at the top of the Carrier Dome? Ok. That’s not a real question. But this is. 3. How will the improvements at the Carrier Dome enhance the fan experience? 4. Will the Carrier Dome still be called the Carrier Dome ...[/I] [/QUOTE]
