Welcome to President's Day!

President's Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated every year on the third Monday of February to honor George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and also all the Presidents of the country.

Until 1971 both 12th February and 22nd February were celebrated as public holidays to honor the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington . In 1971 President Richard Nixon declared the Presidents' Day as one federal public holiday to honor all the Presidents of the United States.

George Washington (22nd February, 1732 - 14th December, 1799): At the time of his birth America was not a free nation, it was under British rule and Americans were struggling for freedom. George Washington was an American general in the war against Britain to get freedom for America. He was elected as the first president of the United States.

Abraham Lincoln (12th February, 1809 - 15th April, 1865): He was born in a very poor family and struggled a lot to obtain his basic education. By virtue of his hard work and dedication he became the 16th president of the United States.

The XFL is rocking and rolling with Week 2 already in the books. Here’s how all the former Syracuse football players performed and what’s next for these guys next weekend.

Eric Dungey, quarterback, Dallas Renegades

The former Syracuse football quarterback was listed as second-string Week 1 for the Dallas Renegades. Shortly after the game, it was revealed that Dungey was placed on the “reserve/left the squad list”.

Long story short, Eric was released from the team but will return Week 3 to the Renegades roster. Dungey released a statement on social media citing “family reasons” as to why he had to leave the XFL so abruptly.

Although when he returns he’ll likely be stuck as the third-string quarterback at best behind Philip Nelson, Landry Jones, and possibly even Brogan Roback (who was only added due to Eric’s absence).

While he was away the Dallas Renegades snagged its first win of the season vs the LA Wildcats, 25-18.

College football recruiting: Ranking the top 10 recruiters that hauled in the Class of 2020

In the Class of 2020, these guys were the best recruiters college football had to offer throughout the cycle, according to the 247Sports Recruiter Rankings.

Here are the top 10, along with comments for the 3 ACC assistants (click the link above to read about the other coaches):

1. Brian Hartline, Ohio State wide receivers coach

2. Todd Bates, Clemson defensive line coach

Clemson's defensive line haul is the one position group in the 2020 cycle that could mount an argument as matching that Buckeyes wide receiver group as it featured the 247Sports Composite's No. 1 player in the country in Bryan Bresee. Bates was the lead recruiter on Bresee, and also on top-10 defensive lineman Demonte Capehart. Four-star defensive tackle Tre Williams out of Washington D.C. also goes on the resume, and Bates is largely responsible for Clemson reloading on the defensive line in a national championship manner.

5. Dell McGee, Georgia running backs coach

Beck was demoted by Tom Herman at Texas based off on-field results, but the off-field results were there. Beck was the lead recruiter on Bijan Robinson, the No. 1 running back in the country, and he also signed arguably the nation's best quarterback class with Top100 talents Hudson Card and Ja'Quinden Jackson before departing for Raleigh.

9. Elijah Robinson, Texas A&M defensive line coach

10. Jeff Hafley, Boston College head coach

Newly hired as the head coach at Boston College, Hafley earned that job by his performance on the recruiting trail for Ohio State as much as what he did on the field. He landed New Jersey talents Cody Simon and Luke Wypler for the Buckeyes, and loaded up Ryan Day's secondary with a national list of talents like Lathan Ransom out of Arizona, Ryan Watts out of Texas and Lejond Cavazos out of Florida.

KEEP IN MIND: While Bates did his work at Clemson, Beck and Hafley got their top 10 status before arriving at NC State and Boston College, respectively - it remains to be seen how they'll do in the ACC.

The Clemson football program currently has the No. 2-rated class in the country, according to 247 Sports’ Composite Team Rankings.

The Tigers gained commitments from several 4-star and 5-star prospects following their Elite Junior Day weekend back in January and are in great shape to bring in yet another star-studded class.

What will the scholarship numbers look like for the 2021 cycle? Here’s a look at the position-by-position scholarship breakdown for the class, as far as expectations are concerned.
