Shafer said Syracuse's efficient 3rd-down defense against NCSU stemmed from getting early pressure, forcing QB to throw with unset feet.

Shafer said Lester will have the opportunity to rebuild the offense "to the way he sees fit" in the offseason.

Shafer reiterates the lack of consistent reps for offensive linemen creating difficulties. Lester hinted they could simplify blocking.

Shafer on Lester's future when asked about next season: "Tim's our offensive coordinator moving forward."
