With the season essentially over, it means Davis's attention will focus on finding his college home. Harris said Davis's recruitment is "probably going to come down" to five schools. He has taken officials visits to two of them and plans to take official visits to the other three, though no dates have been scheduled.

Syracuse, a school he committed to back in May despite not visiting campus, is not on the list.

Davis is taking a hard look at Florida State, Florida, Miami (Fla.), Texas and Alabama, according to Harris. He offered a brief explanation for why those schools stand out two months before signing day.

"Whichever one he chooses out of those five will be a good fit for him," Harris said.

A Foot of Snow Possible in CNY as 'Significant' Storm Barrels Up East Coast (PS; Coin)

Central New York could see up to a foot of snow over the next few days, the National Weather Service says.

A "major winter storm" heading up the East Coast could bring heavy snow inland, the weather service said. The exact track of the storm and snowfall totals are still in flux, and the weather service says this is a particularly difficult storm to predict.

The weather service has issued a winter storm watch, which means that snow of 7 inches or more is possible but not certain. The watch extends from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

Similar watches are in effect as far west and Rochester and as far north as Tug Hill, including Watertown. Snow could fall as far north as Maine.
