Meet Wyatt Lozano, Strongest Man in Syracuse (PS; Tulloch)

In gyms and clubs across Syracuse, people know Wyatt Lozano as "The Juggernaut." Some people call him "Hercules," others call him "The Hulk."

Lozano, 26, lives up to his strongman nicknames. Weighing 350 pounds, his muscles ripple violently when he takes off his shirt to show an inch-long stab wound on his back, a souvenir from his job as a bouncer at Bada Bing strip club.

He can shoulder-press 420 pounds, flat bench press 550 pounds and decline bench press 620 pounds. He curls 100-pound dumbbells like they're water bottles.

Strong as he is, though, Lozano breaks "tough guy" stereotypes left and right. His voice is low and gravelly but soft. His posture is impeccable. He writes poetry. He's articulate, opinionated and speaks with the sure tone of someone who knows his purpose: to protect. Perhaps this passion stems from years of reading superhero comic books and watching cartoons of "X-Men" and "The Incredible Hulk" as a child.

High School Football All Star Game Rosters Prove SEC Still Reigns Supreme (PS; Laney)

The Under Armour All-American Game rosters were released Monday and reviewing them finalized a clear pattern in all the high school all-star games: The SEC is, once again, dominating the recruiting wars.

Of the 213 committed players on the rosters of the three biggest prep all-star games, 79 are pledged to SEC schools, according to research done by 247Sports.

That's by far the most of any conference and is, in fact, more than any two other conferences combined. The ACC is second with 40 all-star commits. The SEC has as many commits as the next three major conferences combined. The Pac-12 (32), Big Ten (29) and Big 12 (18) combined have the same number of all-star commits as the SEC has by itself.

Heisman Favorite Oregon QB Marcus Mariota Dives for a TD Against UCLA.

Heisman Finalists: Mariota, Cooper and Gordon (PS; AP)

The Heisman Trophy finalists would make one heck of an offense.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, Alabama receiver Amari Cooper and record-breaking Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon are set to make the trip to New York for the Heisman presentation after the finalists were announced on Monday.

Mariota is considered the clear the front-runner to win the 80th Heisman on Saturday night in New York. He would become the first Oregon player to earn college football's most famous player of the year trophy.

I would think he is related to former SU CB Ed Koban, who also was from Endicott...

A Cornell University athletic official has died a day after he was accidentally hit on the head during an event in Barton Hall.
