Houston QB O'Korn To Stay in Texas? (burntorangenation.com; Eberts)
There could be some future quarterback help coming for the Texas Longhorns in the form of former Houston Cougars starter John O'Korn, first reported by Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports on Friday.
Florida is also under consideration by O'Korn, according to Feldman, with another report out of Syracuse naming Wisconsin, Miami along the Orange as contenders for the 6'4, 220-pounder.
The biggest problem with taking O'Korn as a transfer? He won't be eligible for the 2015 season. In some effective ways, that would making picking up the Florida product similar to taking a junior college quarterback in the 2016 class since O'Korn won't be able to play until then, with the flip side being that he has competed at a much higher level already.
Since O'Korn wants to enroll for the spring semester and is looking for early playing time, he would have a great deal of experience in whatever offense he chooses by the time that he's ready to compete for a starting job, as he will have spent two springs and a full football season at that school by the fall of 2016.
