[I]Syracuse University has hired a search firm to assist in finding candidates to become the school's new athletic director.

The university announced Monday it will present at least two final candidates to Chancellor Kent Syverud for review. The university expects to hire a new athletic director by the start of the upcoming school year.

Syracuse has retained Glenn Sugiyama and Pat Richter, of DHR International's Sports Practice Group, to consult on profile development, recruitment and selection of an experienced candidate.
