It's time for our predictions. Hop below in the comments and offer your picks. Brent Axe Tyler Boyd is in the conversation as the best wide receiver in the country. Combine that with rising star Nathan Peterman at quarterback, and that equals bad news for an SU secondary that has struggled this season. Pittsburgh 35, Syracuse 17 Stephen Bailey The Orange defense hasn't been able to get off the field late in the last two games as struggles to stop the screen and breakdowns in the secondary have haunted the unit. Until the defense can put together a couple late stops, it's hard imagine Syracuse beating a team with an offensive weapon like Tyler Boyd. Pittsburgh 38, Syracuse 31 Nate Mink Pitt has recently dominated this series, winning nine of the last 10, and enters the game atop the Coastal Division. It has Tyler Boyd and an efficient passing game. Syracuse has a leaky secondary. You think you have this sport figured out. Then Saturday afternoon happens. Syracuse 35, Pittsburgh 31 ... The cure for what ails the fading Syracuse Orange football team? Probably not the ACC-mandated annual thing with thePittsburgh Panthers. But hey, maybe we're surprised, right? RIGHT?! Below, Anson Whaley (who you should follow on Twitter) from SB Nation's Pitt blogCardiac Hill, stops by to share everything we'll need to know around the Panthers. We answered some questions over there too, and can share that link once it's live. While Pitt probably had some high hopes going into this season, did anyone expect a 5-1 start either before or after James Conner went down? Even with Conner, I don't think many people could have predicted this kind of start. Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech, of course, were supposed to be better than this, but Pitt has still exceeded expectations in my book. At this point in the season, I predicted a 4-2 mark, but wouldn't have been too surprised to see them land at 3-3, either. The 5-1 start, even with the lackluster showings by the Yellow Jackets and Hokies, is still very unexpected. Don't forget, too, that this is a program with losses to Akron, Youngstown State, and Navy in the past three years. Even though Pitt generally pulls off an upset or two, they have really been snakebitten with some losses to weaker opponents. For Pitt to have avoided early pitfalls so far this year is already more than they had done in the non-conference portion of the schedule during the Paul Chryst era. ... Other Hero Boards: Not Exactly Like 'Back to the Future' Hoverboards, But Pretty Close (PS; Tulloch) In Syracuse, gliding on a "Hero Board" may be as close as you can get to riding a "hoverboard," the levitating transport device in the films "Back to the Future Part II" and "Back to the Future Part III." You can find Hero Boards in Destiny USA, which is celebrating Back to the Future Day with retro music, a movie screening and free valet parking for DeLorean cars. Oscar Guida opened his Hero Board kiosk in Destiny USA on Oct. 15 and sold more than 150 Hero Boards in less than a week. "It's way more than I expected," said Guida, of Syracuse, who owns Hero Boards LLC. "I anticipated a lot of sales for the holidays but this first week was crazy. I had to drive to Philly last weekend to restock." The Hero Board is similar to the Segway Human Transporter, a two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery-powered electric vehicle. The difference? Hero Boards don't have handles. You move forward and backward by shifting your balance very lightly on the board's pressure points. "When you start, you definitely want a wall or shoulder to hang on to," Guida said. "You'll get used to how sensitive the board is when it reacts to your movement. Within half an hour, you'll be a pro." ...
