Stephen Bailey @Stephen_Bailey1 Dino Babers introduced on @SiriusXMCollege. No doubt he's on the recruiting grind: "I've been better. I'm a little tired this morning." Babers on recruiting shuffle: "Hectic... chaotic... You're happy and celebrating over here. You're disappointed and moving on over there." Dino Babers said his initial focus post-hire was on administration. Wants to ensure positive reinforcement for his vision. Babers said he didn't want to rush the hiring process for his staff. Took recommendations from those he knows well. Babers: "I'm really excited even though we're in a late stage of the game." Believes there's still good talent to be added. Dino Babers on whether Syracuse has the players to run his hurry-up spread: "In some ways, the offense recruits itself." Knows speed is big. Dino Babers talking about how hard it was to leave Bowling Green. "It broke my heart that I couldn't coach in the last game." Dino Babers said he's only spoken with the current Syracuse team three times due to winter break. Babers is holding "State of the Union" meetings with current players on Saturdays during the recruiting race. About 30 minutes each. Babers is going off trust on finding hosts for official visitors this month. Admits it's not a perfect system for the first year. Dino Babers on staff changes: "It was almost a clean sweep, so to speak." Babers said TEs coach Reno Ferri is the first guy he's brought in as an offensive coach who'll have to learn the hurry-up spread. Babers said he met with former Syracuse DC Chuck Bullough to understand the program. Called him a good friend. That's it for Babers. Will have a post with longer quotes in a bit.
