This week, winter should let up a little bit as some warmer air moves in. A southerly flow has set up across the eastern part of the country for the start of the week, with high pressure along the east coast and low pressure over the Plains. These southerly winds, along with a few breaks of sunshine, should help temperatures on Monday rise into the mid 30s. No precipitation is expected on Monday, but the low pressure system from the Plains will lift into the Great Lakes by Tuesday. Some light and scattered precipitation will begin to move across Central New York before the sun rises on Tuesday and lingering into Tuesday afternoon.
