Big 12 expansion meeting today. B12 has to decide if it wants 10, 11, 12 teams. Louisville slam dunk choice for No. 11

Louisville makes a lot of sense for them. Great hoops, traditionally good football, lots of money supporting the AD, new territory that creates a bridge WV. Also, Louisville is a killer market for college sports TV ratings. Per capita Louisville and Birmingham are the best.

Kill the Beast while it's wounded! If SU, Pitt, and L'ville can leave before that West coast teams show up and there will be no BE left to pay an exit penalty too. Those other teams will simply stay put. Maybe the remaining 5 would play home and away in football?

There is no killing the Big East at this point. They have a survival plan in place and new teams have committed. SU, sPITT and Ville pulling a WVU would be beyond a dick move. Just don't see any of these schools doing that.

There would be no long term benefit in doing so, and would only hurt those Big East schools that are left behind.

If expansion does occur I actually hope they go to the Big 12. I think it would be fantastic.
