Well, according to the same rankings we’re #14, so we would also be “lucky to get to .500”. Which puts us in that peer group and 3-2 against the teams you listed would be “good”. Then getting 2 more wins (aside from presumably Liberty) against the top teams would be a success. But this is such a crap shoot with so many unknowns about most teams, these rankings are mostly meaningless. If the OL holds up early and gets reinforced soon, and if the young LBs also survive the early lumps, who knows what this team is capable of. But personally think somewhere around .500 is a reasonable expectation.

My issue with the schedule is that we play all our 'easy' opponents at home and all the tough ones on the road.

Clemson
Notre Dame
UNC
Pitt
Louisville

I think just about everyone agrees the 3 best teams in the ACC are the first three listed. They are the only ACC schools that are ranked.
Pitt and UL might well end up as the 4th and 5th best.

It helps that with crowds reduced or non-existent, the home field advantage will be reduced.

It will be interesting to see if teams are allowed to play piped in noise while the other team has the ball and the QB is calling signals, or after the ball has been snapped. I hope this has been discussed and an agreement has been reached so everyone does things the same way.

what about duke screams 6-5? they were 5-7 team last yr
nc st was 4-8 so 3-8 is about the same
su has a big drop expected

Don’t know which threat to put this in but I have a sneaky feeling that this season will be ugly the first couple of weeks but they will look a lot better as the season rolls on
