He says it's for personal reasons. Conditioning is his main downfall. I wonder if he had come to SU if he would have had that problem. Maybe freshman year but look at what Fab and Rak have done from Fresh to Soph year.

No! With JB you are either in shape or you are gone. He Smith is a good 60-70lbs overweight none of our guys were that big.

Meh, we've had plenty of guys whose conditioning left something to be desired over the years.

Coaches can't make kids stay in shape; that desire to be fit must come from within. Smith would've bounced out of here like he has at UCLA. Sad for him.

The difference is he would have never mad it to his junior year here at that size and would never received the any playing time either. The dude looks like and offensive lineman we have never had a guy that big on the team. Rock Lloyd was told to lose weight or move on and he moved on.
