the story says voting for the teams ends on May 8th but the tournament's Facebook page indicates that voting ended on May 1st. The top 24 votegetters are locked in and there're 8 at large bids that will be announced by the 8th. Hakim et al. will have to rely on an at large bid since they didn't finish in the top 24.

got it - apparently there's a side competition amongst fans of the teams in which you win points depending on how well your does, recruiting new fans, etc. Points translate to raffle chances. Some interesting prizes in the raffle, I'm hoping to get the eggs...
