From Nola(dot)com:

On the Carrier Dome atmosphere

"It was crazy. Couldn't hear anything. We had to go to our signals. I had a great time here. It was hotter than I expected. I almost started to cramp in my hip. It was crazy. (Early start effect) None at all."

On if he was surprised Syracuse hung in the game

"No, I wasn't at all. Any team you play, you can't sleep on them. That's a great team we played against. A lot of good athletes out there, great coaching."

Edit: On meeting Floyd Little

"I told him it was an honor to meet him. He's one of the legends, one of the first running backs selected. He told me what a great job I do. He told me he was going to continue praying for my success.

"I looked him up, him and Jim Brown. They were the greats. Syrcuse started RBU. It's a great tradition, who wouldn't want to come here just looking up to those guys.

"I looked up Ernie Davis when his movie came out. He was the first black Heisman Trophy winner. That was surprising. And he died of leukemia. It hurts to see an athlete like that go down. I have to come out and do my best."

I, for one, hope that if an ACC team doesn't win a NC, LSU does. And, I hope Fournette crushes everyone that he goes against for the rest of the year.

it helped that LSU is mainly a running team and could go on silent snap with few pre snap adjustments. one of these days we are gonna have 45K making noise and not 30k+. wish it was going to be in 50 days against another tiger

I think they were trying those quicker snaps to try to avoid the crazy crowd noise causing some of those false starts.

We forget how loud that place gets when it's full or nearly full. Huge advantage.
I've heard several LSU fans remark about how loud it was at times, one term being "deafening". It's very fortunate the team hung in there till the end as the fans hung in there pretty well too.

When is the last time an opposing player with absolutely elite talent (he will be a difference maker in the NFL) went out of his way to respect and honor the tradition of a program? Fournette gained the hearts of the Orange with his performance on and off he field. This is exactly the type of player the game needs.

Hope he wins the Heisman.

"Not your typical jock" that is a Dave Bing quote from Orange Glory. This kid seems to fit that mold and I wish we had recruited him because it sounds like once he did his homework (on SU) we would have been in the mix. Hard not to like this guy.

If someone has different information please correct me, but I believe Fournette's 244 yards rushing was the 3rd highest recorded at SU, either at the Carrier Dome or at Archbold Stadium. Joe Morris had 252 and Penn State's Curt Warner had 256. Nicely done...

Funny how deafening to them is only kinda loud for us. It's all relative

If a very good SEC team and fans say our stadium is loud than that is saying something. We can be the Cameron indoor of college football if we can pack the place regularly

I've always like LSU because (1) I like their uniforms) and (2) They aren't Alabama. Now I have a third reason.

I haven't seen this posted, but it's a video clip of Fournette after the game...has a segment on his meeting with Floyd Little. He also talks about being hit "downstairs" while in a pile.

Not for nothing but when I read something like this coming from a worthy opponent, it reminds me just how little our own fans sometimes view our program. An example of that, IMO, is when some obsess over the likes of a program like Rutgers...who has never done squat after a century of effort.
If we must obsess over another program, why can't it be the likes of an LSU who are actually worth our time & attention? We are and always will be a good program notwithstanding the last few seasons troubles.
I wish EVERY SU fan would consider the words of a Fournette re SU, the next time we want to dump on ourselves. Just sayin...& JMHO.

Don't tell Clemson.

No - obsess is different than "find entertaining"...
