I came into Syracuse by train a few weeks ago and may be leaving again by train on August 8th at 9:30 PM but who really knows for sure. I didn't bring golf clubs with me, but Dan Johnson was as good a man as I've known during my lifetime, including most or all of you, and I love spending a day honoring his memory. There is no greater honor than to have your friends celebrate your life after you're gone.

I have no car with me but might be able to use my sister-in-laws' car to get to the outing, but maybe not and would be looking for someone that cares enough to give me a ride from somewhere near Syracuse to the golf course to the train station near Destiny Mall sometime after the outing. My plans are very up in the air but the Dan Johnson outing is very close to my scheduling issues and certainly to my heart. I hope to get there to celebrate an outstanding human with all of you. If not, celebrate him without me. Dan was and is a great man...many of us are here because of him, and I'm not really talking of his kids. His kids were fortunate in a way I hope my kids will feel fortunate when I'm gone. He made a difference to many of us. I still love you Dan...you made life better. Please let me know if you can use me in your group...
