That seems bad.

We have some notable deficiencies talent-wise, but there is zero excuse for us to be this colossally awful on defense.

Clearly the interim DC isn’t the answer. Not that I figured he would be.

Scheme is a mess. How can this unit be rebuilt to be somewhat functional?

The D played way better yesterday than vs BC.. but the UL explosive players are better. we were in the proper position all game and didnt make the plays

I was told time and time again, on this very forum, that the defense wasn't a problem.
Against NC State it wasn't. Against Pitt the blame could be equally shared between offense and defense. Yesterday it was the defense.

honestly the D needs to change.. doing an in season switch was about all you can do, but really we needed new blood and as much as I wanted to win 3 games I also wanted a new coach and not sure one happens without the other

“Way better”? 600 yards and 56 points is horrific. Marginally better than the worst defensive performance I’ve ever seen? OK I’ll accept that.

BC was awful, yesterday it happens. explosive players making plays in space. all the D can do is put guys in the right place. even the long TD pass what is Cisco supposed to do man up against a guy way faster? Now if you want to argue we should never blitz and play cover 2 that might stop that play but you have to try sometimes.

If the front 7 could hold the line of scrimmage and stop the run maybe Cisco wouldn’t be caught cheating up.

he wasnt cheating up on the tds he allowed he was in man on the deep throw and he was in man on the TE throw the first quarter and he screwed up the angle on one of the TD runs
