also mentioned schools like Uconn and Virginia. Couldn't see him at a school like Ohio State.

He obviously knows nothing about any of the current coaching situations at any of those schools except for OSU.

Why would Coughlin want to get back into recruiting?

Only if he brings Nassib, Pugh, Broms, and McClain with him. And Markus Paul to run S&C.

At least as far as UVa is concerned, probably because we're among the ones mentioned most often as looking to fire our coach at the end of the season. The rumor in September was London was told "Bowl game or box your desk." Now a lot of folks on our board are in full panic mode that he'll be kept if he loses to Miami Saturday but beats VPI on Black Friday, making us 5-7.

I love the Sports Pope and I think Coughlin deserves be heard atleast on he would hire for the next SU FB coach but he isn't going from the NFL to College Football.

nope.

virginia was mentioned, as a 'type' of school that TC could land at...at his age.

the question was...and im paraphrasing, could you see him back at a college as a HC?

Mike said...maybe but only under the right circumstance and not at a real big school like an Ohio St. but he could at a lower level, but bigger school...like a uconn, a virginia or back at his alma mater.

i believe he also covered himself by saying he has no clue about the job status of anyone at those schools and did not want to imply that job was open.

that started the mike bashing.

He was really just thinking out loud, I heard it as well and maybe being the key phrase, I would say that the odds of TC not retiring a giant are very very slim

Our folks don't want any part of him due to age and that he's coming from the NFL. Causes too many bad memories of Al Groh.

Regardless, I need to go clean up.

Kaiser, Mike is a clown that can't get along with anyone. I once heard him say, a lot of peoplle in the NFL, including me, think and then added whatever he was thinking. Don't confuse success with brains.

Hey listen dash, I get all that is 'Mike', but the fact of the matter is, not only is he good with all the A level guests on daily, but he's a damn good regular listen too. If there's a line to be drawn, he picks a side and then stands there taking all the bullets...and he's normally right.

I feel closed off from the world when listening to satellite...and on local over the air it's either him or the clowns on ESPN...and that's a no brainer.

Shaq was on with B & C this morning and that was great. Shaq challenged Carton to 1 on 1 tackle football with each getting 10 attempts from the 5 to score on each other after a Boomer hand off. It's to be done at New Rochelle High. Boomer then invited Shaq to the NFL Today. He is good friends with Odell Beckham Sr., roomed with him when the LSU football and hoop teams weren't getting along, which was a joke because they were friends. Jr, calls him Uncle Shaq.

i suppose you placed an order for ball deodorant today

The only show worth listening to on WFAN is the midday show. Unfortunately, I can only hear that during vacations. Nice to see Mike was staying awake anyway.

It is obvious that Mike and the Mad Dog will reunite before both call it careers. It is an easy cash grap for each guy.

If FS1 was smart they would offer Mike and Mad Dog PTI type show 6:30pm where they could be like Wilbon and Kornheiser. Fox Sports isn't going to be able to undo 20 years of ESPN dominating the Sports market. Mike and Mad Dog talking sports everyday on FS1 would be a good show.
