"The film sucks"

Fran Brown on Antoine Deslauriers earning the start said he worked hard and liked where he was at.

Fran Brown on Jamie Tremble on defense: "Thought he was a good football player, super talented, wanted to make sure he could get on the field." Said he thought he can mentally handle learning both sides of the ball. Added others will be playing both ways on Saturday.

Fran Brown said Yasin Willis played well, but he thinks he can play better and his best football is ahead.

Fran Brown: "I think Duce (Chestnut) is the most organized and well prepared player on the defensive side of the ball."

Fran Brown said he has no updates on injuries, but he knows players were in treatments this morning.

Fran Brown on tackling: "I'll get it fixed. We'll get it fixed."

Steve Angeli's lost 2 career games as a starter. Fran Brown's been part of only five losses in the last four years. They're not used to this. When asked about how Angeli's responding to the loss, Brown pounded the podium with his hand a few times."I hate losing, too," he said.

Fran Brown brushed off accusations of fake injuries by the Syracuse or Tennessee side during Saturday's game. Said neither team got any flags for it and he thought the Vols played well.

Fran Brown expects 6-foot-8 freshman offensive lineman Byron Washington to be mixed into Syracuse's OL group in the future. Washington was over 400 pounds in high school and dropped down to 380 in fall training camp, but Brown says he's lost enough weight to earn playing time.

Looks like the next three OL are Miller, Bertrand, and Washington. Was hoping Rice and Pringle were immediate impact guys, guess not.

Honestly I’m not sure why they aren’t.

The oline played physical vs a pretty good dline. Tenn was not running free all game, but they caused some confusion and that should get better as the line plays more together.

You pass 40 times you will get some pressure. Just limit a few of them and you can be decent

Fran hates losing more than he likes winning. The hallmark of a fierce competitor and eventually it will rub off on the team as a whole, on the field and off.
Billy Beane …. Right ! ( Moneyball )
