You realize they are club level, right? Players have to pay $2K each and the entire program is self-funded by donations, fund-raising, and the players themselves. And then there's Title IX. Tough climb, and even tougher for SU, as they host more men's varsity sports than UNLV.

Syracuse has a men's club-level team also. Last year they finished 24-9-2 (#16 in the country), won the NECHL, won their league tournament, made the ACHA National tournament, won a game, and narrowly lost to #2 Stony Brook 3-2.

Arizona St is not club though. They have a Div 1 program and UNLV has been club since 2005 but apparently is becoming Div 1 soon.
