Right now we're shooting 62.9% from the line (worst for an SU team in the past 10 years and the worst of any team ranked in the top 10 right now) and 32.2% from deep (2nd worst for an SU team in the past 10 years, only 2005 was worse, and worst of any team ranked in the top 10 right now).

Realistic question: can we go to a Final Four if we maintain these percentages?

short answer...no way.

No, but I think mcw, Brandon and Trevor will all shoot better as the season goes on.

I would say yes but it won't be easy. Last year Louisville shot 31.8% from 3. Though about 69% from the line.

I certainly wouldn't want to bank on it though...

This team wont get to FF, or Elite 8.

Interestingly enough, our FT shooting may not be as bad as it seems:

CJ - 80%
BT - 69%
MCW - 73%
Dirty - 71%
Cooney - 81%

The law of averages says that BT will probably improve as he is 75% for his career before this season and 84 (soph) and 77 (junior) the last two seasons. Much of our problems with our team percentage stem from:

Grant 9 of 24 .375%
Keita 10 of 22 .455%
DCII 24 of 52 .462%
Rak 13 of 22 .591%

They have shot almost a third of our free throws this season (120 of 320 total attempts). It will be pretty easy in end game situations to keep those four off of the court, and you may not even have to include Rak in that bunch as I am not convinced that he is a bad free throw shooter.

We typically don't play as aggressively as Louisville.
