What They're Saying

"I CAN’T BELIEVE Jim Boeheim said he feels bad for Fab Melo, who was ruled academically ineligible. He either wasn’t going to class or not studying. Why would you feel bad for him?"
PN

Syracuse is in trouble

This is not a surprise. Without Fab Melo, Syracuse is so much weaker in every aspect of its game. This was affirmed against UNC-Asheville, which put up a brave fight and almost defeated the Orange. Syracuse has to play harder and smarter if it wants to beat Kansas State. The game is, for all intents and purposes, a toss-up.
The Score

Syracuse got a huge scare from 16-seed UNC-Asheville in the NCAA tournament on Thursday. The Orange only escaped with a 72-65 win after receiving several favorable calls in the second half. "Guess I just had some good karma coming!" said Jim Boeheim, who, for some reason, was lighting a cigar with a $100 bill. In a related story, the last mystical gnome died from pollution yesterday at 5 p.m., and his last words were: "Magic is gone from the world."
GL

Bulldogs senior guard J.P. Primm took a subtle jab at the officiating.
"It's tough when things don't go your way. In college basketball, sometimes you have to play everybody in the building,"

Reading all the headlines today you can see why SU is being trashed. All the writers care about is getting to write about the first 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed. Not being able to do that has pissed them off to no end.
I my college days, after reading all this garage, I would be coming out for the next game with flames shooting out of my eyes and lightening bolts out of my a$$.
