The BE predictions seem pretty accurate to me.

I think Louisville is the best team and that USF should compete with the Redbirds, followed by the hated Scarlet Knights and Pitt.

The Orange is picked to finish second to last ahead of Temple. The conclusion is based upon the perceived lack of overall talent on the Syracuse University roster.

As much as I would like to feel differently, I can't argue that on the basis of talent, we are the next to last team in the BE this year.

So, if we have a losing season I will not be surprised or upset. I will simply keep focusing on all the improvement that is happening with the program - from infrastructure to the move to the ACC.

In other words, be patient - we are headed in the right direction.

I don't know--I wouldn't be remotely surprised to see both Pitt and Rutgers be lousy this year. New coaching staffs at both schools--hard to predict what the product on the field will look like.

Last year we were all pretty positive, concerned about the D but reasonably positive overall. This year, we are all prepared for the worst particularly given our schedule. However, we have a lot of redshirt freshmen, sophs and JUCOs who may be better than we think. If the DLine is as promising as the advance chatter they may really grow into something special as the season goes along. The O can't be any worse than last year and might be pretty intresting. So, we might surprise everybody, especially later in the season.

Love reading about Hogue. If he has a good year this year, he could potentially get a nice deal if they move both of their current OLB's.

I've actually thought the opposite for Pitt. I think Chryst will be a solid head coach and Pitt's personnel already fits what he's going to do so I don't see a huge learning curve. Might benefit them...I've thought if any team can surprise with a big year it could be Pitt.

Would love to see buttgers fall flat on their faces though. Out of 500 or so preseason prediction posts I'd say 95% or better of them are predicting 10-2 / 9-3 type season. I'm waiting for the epic board meltdown.

Won't you all be surprised when SU takes the final BE title.
