Comment: Went out last night & found some hot spots, must have seen over 1000 classic cars. They say last years show attracted over 9000 vehicles. Exhibtors pay $35 for a spot for the weekend. Someone mentioned Saturday attendance will be upwards of 80,000 people. Advanced sale tickets were $12 it will cost you $17 for day of. One exhibitor from Canada said there is a show every weekend but none that matches the Syracuse Nationals. He had an immaculate Red Chevy Chevelle with a 427 engine. He drives the car from show-to-show and frowned on vehicles that are brought in via vans, "These are cars and meant to be driven".
My favorite car last night was a 1972 Detomaso Pantera, it had an awesome mid-engine with huge silver pipes extending through the chassis. I got taken back in time with a beautiful woody station wagon that had surf boards on the roof rack. There will be 12 bands, drag racing & fireworks. This is such a great event and we are lucky to be hosting it.
