Danielle Chitkowski Glenbard South HS, Glen Ellyn, Ill is one of the new pitchers who hopes to follow graduated All American Jen Caira's foot steps in the circle. Kendall Bosch from Estherville Lincoln Central, in Estherville, Iowa will also vie for PT on the mound. Former SU football star Brian LaBaron's daughter Elyssa, who stands 5-10 should bring some more power to the lineup.

Two Interesting Pieces of Information from the first linked article:

1. Syracuse is the only league opponent never to have played Villanova in its on campus facility. I find that amazing, especially in the early days of the conference.

The Philly game against ‘Nova will also mark the end of an unusual distinction Syracuse basketball holds in its all-time Big East run. SU is the only conference member never to have played the Wildcats on campus (the 6500 seat Pavilion) because Orange fans flock to road games and create demand. By doing so Villanova would have simply left too much money on the table with the other site options and larger revenue opportunities (The Palestra, then Spectrum, now Wells Fargo Center) available.

2. The 11:00 a.mn. start against Nova is because the CoreStates Center, First Union Center, Wachovia Center... I mean, Wells Fargo Center will host both Sixers and Flyers home games that same day.
