She made a play against Arizona State for which their coach commented, you just don't see that play being made. Protecting a 1-0 lead against the defending national champions on their field, at the NCAA's in the 6th inning with two outs and runners at 1st & 2nd. A ball was hit up the middle for what looked like a game tying hit. Nandin ranged to her left into the outfield grass, backhanded the ball and without turning flipped the ball backwards to the second baseman who just nipped the runner for the final out of the inning. SU upset ASU 1-0, the biggest win in SU's softball history. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=4]As long as I'm talking about history I might as well include Jen Caria's over 1000 strikeout career. The most ever by a Big East pitcher. She is in the top 65 all time in the nation having surpassed the venerable Jennie Finch. Last season Caria pitched two no hitters at the Syracuse Softball Stadium. One against Rutgers in the rain and the other against South Florida in her final home game in front of her father who came in from Switzerland and had never seen her pitch for SU before.[/SIZE]
